Description

Two framed and nicely matted original hand colored prints. Matching frames are 12" x 15". Printed on 19th century wove paper circa 1850's. Journal du Grande Monde.

Please note that last photo is not a print in this auction. It was a print with a damaged frame that was photographed to show that these are originals removed from the book and not reproductions. The holes on the left edge are where it had been sewn into the original fashion journal publication.
The frames have some age related wear, though both could be hung as is. Light toning and spotting to the prints.
For International Buyers:  Media Mail shipments only. Please note that, although you are likely paying very high shipping costs to have this item sent to you, I am not charging those costs. In the case of books, I utilize "media mail" to get the box to the third party shipper. "Media mail" is a very SLOW speed mailing process reserved for books and records that are potentially very heavy. If you can not wait for my shipment to reach the third party shipper at a very slow pace, please contact me before purchasing and I can add a faster (and more expensive) alternative to the listing to get the item to the third party shipper.
MEDIA MAIL:
The USPS allows books, records and other media to be mailed at a cheaper price than typical mail. It tends to be a much slower mailing process than standard mail. In addition, any employee of the USPS can open the package at ANY time for ANY reason to verify that what is inside is what should be inside. In most cases, the item is properly repackaged but, in rare cases, it is not and an item can arrive damaged. As my feedback suggests, I package very carefully. If you receive a damaged item that has the appearance of having been poorly packaged, please contact me prior to leaving feedback so that it can be addressed.
