    Description
    Uncommon advertising brochure folder for Becker Mayer & Co., Chicago, Illinois c1905.
    This piece consists of a printed folder holding six illustrated informational sheets regarding the “Viking System” of clothing offered, including The Flossy “Flirtation,” The Graduate “Recreation,” “Snappy Juvenile Styles,” The Flossy “Declaration,” “Viking, They Stand The Wear and Tear,” and The Graduate “Infatuation.”
    Each has a lithographed illustration on front with a “legend” on the back explaining the line of clothing.
    This folder also has the name of the retailer H.A. Gloudemans & Co., Chilton, Wisconsin.
    The front shows a flying machine dirigible pre-dating the notion of the Goodyear blimp advertising the Viking System Clothes.
    There are dirigibles and a flying machine bi-plane also illustrated on the inside of the folder.
    Folder measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.
