1st Infantry Ambulances And Field Hospital Very Meuse France WWI 8x10 Photo
    All
photographs are processed at a professional photo lab and have standard white borders unless otherwise stated.  We DO NOT sell desktop printer, discount chain or kiosk processed  photos.
Here we have an 8 x 10, silver halide, photo showing Ambulance Company No. 13 and Field Hospital No. 3 which were units of the 1st Sanitary Train of the 1st Infantry Division. They are pictured on the road at Very, Meuse, France on October 3, 1918. It should be noted that this image is often mis-identified. They are often referred to as "Liberty Trucks", which they most definately are not. The second is that they are "mustard gas ambulances", and there are even images offered for license which show the trucks with huge "mustard gas" banners hanging from the sides. That image is as doctored and fake as they come. They did not have, specific, "mustard gas ambulances" during WWI.
